KRRA presents a talk by Adam Welz, Kommetjie resident and author of The End of Eden: Wild Nature in the Age of Climate Breakdown, one of the New Yorker's recommended books of 2023.

The End of Eden is a beautifully-written exploration of wild species reacting to climate breakdown, including in our very own Cape fynbos. The book combines classic natural history, firsthand reportage and insights from cutting-edge research. It's received rave reviews in The New York Times, The Sydney Morning Herald, Apple Books, The Daily Maverick and other outlets worldwide.
Adam will tell stories from the book, engage in discussion with the audience, and sign copies of the book, which will be on sale R560. Alternatively, a suggested donation of R50 will go to support the environmental efforts of the KRRA.
