Respect your neighbours and baboons

An alleged altercation between two residents concerning each other's attitudes and behaviours towards baboons was recently reported to the KRRA with a request to intervene.

Firstly, while the KRRA greatly desires that we all live in harmony, it is important to stress that the KRRA is neither an investigative nor an enforcement organisation. Any resident who feels threatened themselves or is concerned about the wellbeing of another human or animal should contact the relevant authorities such as SAPS, SPCA or the baboon hotline.

Secondly, we would like to call for calm when it comes to divisive issues such as how we can coexist with baboons. While not everyone may agree with their neighbours or the authorities, remaining courteous and kind is the least we can all do for the goodness of our community.

Regardless of your attitude towards baboons, it is essential that we all respect the applicable bylaws.
