Thank you for your Treasure Hunt generosity

Since KRRA’s Social Fabric team hosted the Heritage Gathering on 19 September, we have been sharing news and stories from the event.

These include:

• The Legacy of Jacob Daniels, the water tower and Kommetjie

• Chip Snaddon’s story of the elephant mural and the Daniels family

• Alison Faraday’s presentation on protecting the Western Leopard Toads

• Adam Welz’s exploration of Kommetjie’s rich biodiversity 

• John Cuthill discussing Kommetjie’s environmental history 

What we haven’t told you about is the 20 little kids who took part in the Heritage Day Treasure Hunt. 

Split into 10 teams, the kids zigzagged across the common (strictly sticking to the trails!) on a quest to hunt down eight secret treasure waypoints.
